Olympics 2012

The only thing now London is afraid of are Olympic Games. Currently it is unbelievable that in a few months the population of London will triple or even quadruple! All Hotels are already booked, tickets are sold, but the tube is still under construction. Currently for us the most positive thing about it are new Olympic kits created by the most known designers around the world, Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney and Armani

(Ralph Lauren for the USA Olympic team, since Beijing Olympic Games 2008)

                                                               (Vancouver, 2010)

( Ralph Lauren Olympic kit for London 2012)

(Stella McCartney for GB Olympic team)

                                                          (GB Olympic team, London 2012)

(Giorgio Armani for Italian team, 2012)

                                                   (Russian Olympic team in Bosco)

                                                                      (Bosco Olympics)

The Orphanage

Yesterday I felt like watching scary films, so I started with Freddy Krueger (new remake, which was very bad, highly predictable and not scary!), and when we found The Orphanage. It is a Spanish horror/thriller film, which came out quite recently in 2007. I would rather call it a thriller, but it is scary, psychologically scary. However, it is not this type of film, which gives you insomnia and nightmares. They finished on a very sad but quite peaceful point, explaining everything rationally. I would give a link to the trailer, but I think watching a film without knowing anything but the title is the best possible experience. Trailers are commercial, they are here to sell a film, so sometimes you end up watching a horrible film, simply because trailer was amazing!

Breathless

Recently, I have watched Godard's maybe the most famous film - Breathless. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2hDR_e1o1M) Shame on me! But if you have not seen it put it on your must watch list! This is classics of French New Wave. I don't want to spoil it with saying too much, but Godard is a genius. HE has an incredible ability to observe and reproduce. How can a man create such a realistic female type - inconsistent, childish, fearful... Plus young Belmondo! It is just unbelievable how emotions, especially love, are similare to everyone.

The Vogue Festival 2012

The picture from the "Welcome" post was taken at the Vogue Festival by my friend (an amazing photographer). We went to the last session on the 21st of April. It began with Alexandra Shulman (editor, Vogue) and TOM FORD conversation, where he was absolutely adorable - funny, smart and very elegant. After there was 30 minutes educational session with young designers on "How To Customise". And finally, we went to the discussion "Ask The Models" with Lily Cole, Jourdan Dunn, Eva Herzigova and Natalia Vodianova. In addition, you could get your hair done, try smoky eyes make-up and find a perfect red lipstick (never thought I would wear dark red). Plus you could do a Vogue Cover portrait by Vogue's contributing photographers. Awesome day. I am definitely going next year and strongly suggest it to everyone!

Welcome

To clarify from the beginning: "Caviar for breakfast" is just a metaphor for me being Russian. It is a common stereotype and nothing more, we don't do it! As well as we don't drink vodka everyday and we are not resistant to -40.

After living in England for 3 years, and finishing first year uni on Film Studies in London I decided to be on top of fashion and create a blog. It is going to be about everything that interests me and might interest you - films, fashion, news, technologies, travelling and etc.

Let us begin.
